Our Programs
In an effort to improve the lives of abused children in Collier County the Children's Advocacy Center looks at the latest trends and research for both the prevention and intervention of child abuse. One of the key studies that inform what we do is the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) is the term given to describe all types of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic experiences that occur to individuals under the age of 18. The ACE Study examined the relationships between these experiences during childhood and reduced health and well-being later in life.
We here at Children’s Advocacy Center are committed to improve the lives of the abused children here in Collier County. We are constantly assessing the needs in the community as well as the latest research to help children that have experienced severe and toxic trauma. Our Impact
Serving the most vulnerable
Last year we helped over 2,500 children and their family members overcome the trauma associated with abuse.
healing the broken hearted
312 children and their family members engaged in our therapeutic services, where children learned that they were not victims but rather survivors.
Helping prosecute the Perpetrators
Over 125 abuse cases were prosecuted with the help of our Child Protection Team and Court Advocacy Programs.
Putting Families back together
91% of the parents who complete our Nurturing Parenting Program do not go on to become re-offenders.
Seeking JUSTICE FOR CHILD Victims
87% of the cases that go to trial end in convictions in part because of the great collaboration between our team, detectives, and the State Attorney’s Office.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) dedicated to assisting child victims of physical and sexual abuse, as well as helping families who experience high conflict and/or domestic violence get the resources they need to be productive citizens in our community. The CAC has an annual fundraising campaign, to raise both awareness of our programs and bring together individuals who have a common interest in helping abused children get the help they so desperately need. Keep Kids Safe
The CAC keeps kids safe through our Child Protection Team and Family Safety Programs. We not only provide a voice to the voiceless but work tirelessly to make sure that justice is served.

The CAC therapists use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based treatment modalities to assure that children can process and overcome the abuse they have suffered.
